Welcome to the drawings section of the Soane Museum's online catalogues.

Sir John Soane's Museum contains over 30,000 architectural drawings. These include both drawings by Soane and his office, together with drawings by earlier and contemporary architects that Soane collected. We are working towards the online catalogue containing all these drawings. The drawings currently catalogued online fall into three areas:

The Drawings of Robert and James Adam
These 9000 drawings entered Soane's collection in 1833. They are currently being catalogued in the same arrangement as when they entered the collection.

The Drawings of Sir John Soane
The early drawings of Sir John Soane are online now, with his early projects currently being catalogued.

Baroque Drawings
Containing two major albums - Greenwich Hospital and Hampton Court Palace - these drawings were collected by Sir John Soane.
