Purpose:Italy: unidentified locstion near ? Lago Fucino or ? Baia. View of a subterranean hall with two tunnels under a vault, one having steps leading upwards towards daylight and the other leading down a path to another opening. Within the hall is a tall column with tiered relief decoration, observed by a number of people.

This much overdrawn inscription may suggest this drawing is part of the Lago sketchbook. The elaborate tunnels depicted may be those in the vicinity of the Lago Fucino or possibly those around Pozzuoli and Baia. The drawing style of the small stick-like figures, shown looking at the column, is unsophisticated.
