Notes

The style of drawing and use of chalk here are atypical of the Adam drawings, although this is probably the work of someone in the Clérisseau circle, possibly Jean-Baptiste Lallemand. The drawing itself may well be a study for the lower vaulting in the topographical views  (of the Domus Augustiana or one of the mausolea on the road to Albano).in Adam vol.57/123 and vol.57/127. The former is in Charles-Louis Clérisseau's hand and the latter in that of Robert Adam.
