Notes

This sketch is widely similar to several pen capricci by Robert Adam with a pyramid as a theme found in Adam vol.55, for example Adam vol.55/104.

The style of the base of the obelisk and the ruin behind it are also found boldly interpreted in Adam vol.57/139.
